Saint of Stonewall | Icons Necklace
We have SO much to thank Marsha P. Johnson for. One of the most prominent activists for gay liberation and a huge component of the Stonewall uprising of 1969, Marsha dedicated her life to LGBTQ+ rights. So we've decided to dedicate this illustrated portrait to the that same cause, and proceeds from sales of all of our Queen Marsha art will forever be donated to to the Marsha P. Johnson Institute! From their website: "The Marsha P. Johnson Institute (MPJI) protects and defends the human rights of BLACK transgender people. We do this by organizing, advocating, creating an intentional community to heal, developing transformative leadership, and promoting our collective power."
This is an original Leroy's Place illustration transferred to 1/8" thick acrylic and laser cut. This line is inspired by the look of Shrinky Dinks, but don't be fooled! This unique process makes these pieces much more durable and higher quality. Cool! *charm is 1.75" tall *28" gold plated or silver brass chain (nickel free!)
